Every now and again, I’ll make some predictions and picks. We’ll keep track of how I do, and maybe if things go well, I’ll make predictions/picks/betting an offshoot of the website.
Anthony’s Picks for Week 17 of the NFL’s 2020-2021 Season
Lines via BetMGM, picks in bold.
Miami at Buffalo (-1.5)
Miami is a decent football team, but I do think they have been more lucky than anything. Buffalo is a more polished football team and is playing for playoff positioning. Take Buffalo in this one.
Baltimore (-14) at Cincinnati
Baltimore comes into this game rolling and Cincinnati is just wishing that Joe Burrow didn’t go down with his season ending injury. They also want to get out of the season as quickly as possible.
Pittsburgh at Cleveland (-9.5)
Pittsburgh’s offense has been so rough. And Cleveland has been decimated by Covid-19. So much is on the line here in this game. I do think Cleveland will win, but I am taking Pittsburgh vs. the spread.
Minnesota (-4) at Detroit
I am not really sure what to make of this game. This is certainly two teams looking to end the year on a high note after being complete disappointments to their fan bases. I may regret this later but I’m taking Minnesota and the points.
New York Jets at New England (-3)
Vegas is daring everyone to bet on New England. And you should. This is an easy, easy bet.
Dallas (-1.5) at New York Giants
This game really will come down to who shows up. I think I trust Dallas a little bit more since they’re rolling. It’s not going to be enough to get them into the playoffs though.
Atlanta at Tampa Bay (-7)
I am not sold on Tampa Bay. I don’t think they are going to go past the divisional round in the playoffs and I also don’t think they are going to cover today. They’ll win, but I’m picking the Falcons to beat the spread.
Green Bay (-4.5) at Chicago
This game could have much worse weather, but I think ultimately, Green Bay gets out to a big lead and holds on to win, covering as well.
Las Vegas (-2.5) at Denver
Las Vegas to me (and my father, a Raiders fan) is a huge disappointment this year after their good start to the season. Denver always plays the Raiders tough, but I think the Raiders cover and go back to the drawing board for next season.
Jacksonville at Indianapolis (-14)
Jacksonville is ready for either Trevor Lawrence or Justin Fields. Indy is ready to tune up for the playoffs at home. This is a recipe for a blowout.
Los Angeles Chargers (-5.5) at Kansas City
Kansas City is resting starters today, but I still think that they will win against this spread. Again, Vegas is definitely wanting people to put their money on the Chargers. This is a fools bet.
Arizona (-2.5) at Los Angeles Rams
This is a tough game to pick. I do think Goff’s injury changes things for the Rams. Arizona desperately needs this win for their franchise. I say they get it.
Seattle (-7) at San Francisco
San Francisco is playing for pride in this one, but Seattle will win by more then a touchdown.
New Orleans (-6) at Carolina
New Orleans is a fraud team. But, they get it done in Charlotte today. Carolina’s moral victory was beating Washington last week.
Tennessee (-7) at Houston
Free J.J. Watt. Free Deshaun Watson. Free the whole team and call them the Oilers.
Washington (-4) at Philadelphia
The Football Team wins the NFC East. The worst division in the history of NFL football. The Eagles go back to the drawing board with a top 5 1st round draft pick and all eyes on their QB, Head Coach, GM and owner situation.

As a Minnesota Vikings fan I was pleased u picked us... however i must say My dad (also a Vikings fan) both expected another disappointing year.. why? Renewing/extending contracts - playing cash cow because we’re desperate to hold on to ppl who would be better off somewhere else with a real team than being the sole reason we win or lose...
Our team isn’t a offensive team... purely defensive... we dont play to score touchdowns (too conservative & too predictable and scared to throw long passes) instead we make 2/6 field goals...IF*** we don’t end up intercepted....nor do we ever “come-back” victoriously after the second half... why? Cuz defense is always more predominantly on field...& are exhausted my the second half... we’re always clapped on for our great defense... but lets be clear- DEFENSE ISNT WHAT GAINS US POINTS!!! With that being said i cant stand the aged out & washed up QB , cousins... ultimately as team captain he sucks... not a ounce of heart or courageousness... those “sleep number” commercials really show where he belongs- in bed! I watch better plays& decision making from highschool & college QB’s...
Which leads me to the COACH... who also gets too much praise for “getting us to the playoffs” the past couple years... HONESTLY is that not the bare minium goal (from a owner’s position?) that should always be the expectation... its winning the actual super bowl that is the true expectation... so y be content always making playoffs & never making it to the super bowl? I was crushed the 2 years we were runner ups... over a damn missed field goal & shitty offense!! Honestly our coach is a offensive based coach... so to always suck in that department - falls on his shoulders regardless of how lackadaisical the QB is..
Since shit falls downstream... the top of the nonsense is the owner himself... WHY Not cut ur losses with this stagnant coach pay his contract out and hire someone who will be aggressive and vigilant with ur offense... instead of waiting the 3 years till his contracts up? Thats 3 years as a fan of disappointment!! This same rhetoric applys to some of our players too! Bench’m while their contracts run out... usem as emergency back ups... but get & train the youngbucks with fresh & eager talents...ready to score, instead of always putting the pressure & riding on 2 overly paid, overly seasoned offense players, esp. when we’re paying a whole team millions..?
Honestly Minnesota is just waisting time talent & money ... rant over lol , thanks for the post and letting me vent hahaha.
